Commencing in July '08 and completion in November 08 we carried out the installation of 873 inset seating rings, electricians subsequently fitted the ABD 8" & 12" luminaries.
These were energised and independently tested. Using MALMS test (Mobile Airfield Light Monitoring System) to ICAO Annex14 system specifications - the result was a 100% pass.
Working with Holemasters (Scotland) Ltd we completed the installation on time despite very poor conditions over the summer months. In nightshift limited possession specialist high early strength mortars and grouts were used achieving as many as 32 seating ring installations prior to the operational airfield re-opening at 6am each morning.
