leader in Expanding Grouts.
Betonamit is a non-explosive
concrete cracking agent which enables blasting to be carried out
with comparative accuracy, without special preconditions or equipment
being necessary. The process is also virtually silent, creates no
vibration or fly rock and can have some ecological benefits.
Betonamit is supplied in powder
form and must be mixed with a specific quantity of water. The mixture
is then packed into holes which have been pre drilled in the material
to be cracked. The ideal hole diameter is 40mm.
After a few hours reaction
time the Betonamit a cracking pressure of 4000 tonnes/sq. metre,
increasing to in excess of 5000 tonnes/sq. metre.
The process can be used for concrete or stone.
