Hydraulic Crunching

E-mail Print PDF

The introduction of hydraulic crunching has changed the way many demolition operations are managed. The hydraulic cruncher has replaced the noisy and potentially damaging jack hammer by eleminating Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome (HAVS).

Using the hydraulic cruncher, we are able to remove walls and floors up to 310mm thick, almost silently, without water and resulting in very little dust. This method can be used where reinforcing is required to be retained for remedial work.

The process involves a pair of hydraulically operated jaws that are positioned over the wall or slab and are capable of crunching a section of concrete approximately 300mm square. The result is a clean and quiet demolition.

  • Fast and clean concrete demolition
  • Up to 310mm thick concrete
  • No HAVS
