Concrete cutters (Sarum) Ltd carry out major runway refurbishment works at RAF Leuchars, Fife. Working for AMEC and in venture with Holemasters (Scotland) Ltd a 2.5m package of works is underway and due for completion in 27/9/07. 3 Frontline tornado bomber squadrons operate from RAF Leuchars. Works involved include Rocksawing, Grooving, and AGL seating Ring installation. Gully raising, Control Joint cutting, Sawing (up to 600mm deep) texturing, Sealants and paintmarkings. Concrete Cutters/Holemasters works are crucial to the overall programme and as such is being managed on site full time by Iain Campbell (CCs) and Jim McArthur (HMS). Also on site as part of our major project support are maintenance fitters and retipping equipment.  Site foremen are Rab White (HMS) and Steve Barber (CCs). Both companies are enjoying working together and share a longstanding trust.

Project EAD phase 5 at Heathrow was successfully completed and handed over on time.

Concrete cutters showed there versatility at Heathrow recently where we took on a project to remove and replace several thousand cats' eyes in the airside tunnels. Working for the maintenance contractor for BAA, Dyer & Butler. Supervised by Peter Barnes the project went very well and Hugh Blackburn the Airport manager of Dyer & Butler congratulated us.
