Concrete Cutters
has an enviable reputation in the concrete cutting and sawing industry.
Over the past 3 decades Concrete Cutters has been involved with some highly
prestigious projects, some of which are shown below.
Diamond
Bank
The closure of many high street banks in the UK has led to the buildings
being converted to other retail uses, such as shops or restaurants.
One disadvantage with conversion lies in the restrictions on usable
floor space in the basement areas due to the presence of thick-walled
concrete vaults. Martin Jennings reports on the success of diamond
tooling in solving this problem.

Eastern
Gas
Concrete Cutters were involved in cutting access points for gas flues in
a multi storey block of flats in Waltham Cross. The Diamond Core
drilling technique was used to make the vent holes and a special
compound was developed to avoid the concrete material around the
holes breaking up.
The
problem was made more difficult by the fact that most of the flats
were still occupied during the process and Concrete Cutters were required
to complete the work with the minimum of disturbance and mess.
London
Airport
Concrete Cutters have had a long relationship with Heathrow and are currently
involved with upgrading runways at the world busiest airport. Work
is mostly done at night during the non-flying time and involves
cutting expansion gaps in the runways and removing damaged sections,
in readiness for new surface materials. Many other projects have
been completed to the satisfaction of the main contractor and Concrete Cutters
expect their relationship with Heathrow to continue into the future.
