Wire &
Plunge Sawing
This
innovative technique offers the ability to cut through almost
any thickness of concrete, stone, granite etc., mass or reinforced
and the width of the cut is approximately 12mm and the process
is virtually silent. The process requires the use of water,
this is however controllable using special protection and
collection methods.
The
concrete wire sawing process involves running a diamond coated
continuous "rope" around the object to be cut. A
hydraulic motor drives the diamond wire saw as it is drawn
through a series of pulleys.
Ideal
for cutting deep slabs, Rotunda bases, capping beams etc.
The process has been used successfully for the recovery of
specialist rock formations for archeological purposes.
Concrete
Cutters have developed the process by continual trials and
have proved that steel can also be cut using this method.
Useful where access is limited for more conventional saw cutting
methods.
